We had the most wonderful experience getting married at The Whitewood Barn. It is such a gorgeous, beautifully decorated venue with so many thoughtful touches. We had our wedding at the Whitewood Barn in August 2023 and it was the perfect place to tie the knot. The venue is extremely beautiful and many small details have been considered such as the flowers, lights and decor to make it feel absolutely magical.

The new additions they have added in the past few years tie in perfectly and with a fluctuating weather forecast the days before we knew we were prepared as there are options for an indoor or outdoor ceremony and dance. Our guests continue to tell us it was the most beautiful wedding they have ever been to!

We fell in love with the venue when we had originally booked to have our wedding here for 2021 but with covid restrictions we decided to postpone so that we could have the day we wanted with all our friends and family being able to attend. Chris and Jeff were amazing to work with, they were flexible and accommodating with the date change and really went above and beyond to help us have the perfect day! They both exhibit such a passion in helping to create the perfect wedding day for their couples.

I don’t know where to start! We had our wedding at Whitewood on the 19th and it was everything we imagined. Chris and Jeff were amazing to work with and extremely accommodating. They made planning very easy with their preferred vendors lists which we mostly used. On our wedding day Chris was very hands on in making sure everything ran smoothly. When we first looked at the venue we were “warned” that Chris would be like our mom and that was not an exaggeration. She was always making sure that I was drinking enough water, eating enough, and making sure to check in that I was feeling okay.
We got many compliments on how beautiful the venue is and that’s why we chose it! Our day turned out to be exactly what we wanted and a lot of that credit goes toward Chris and Jeff!

The Whitewood Barn is the perfect venue if you are looking to host both your ceremony and reception for your wedding in a single location with ease. Chris and Jeff have done a wonderful job building a beautiful venue the really doesn’t require much decoration since they have done so much with the place already. If you are planning your wedding on your own (like I did) Chris has a list of preferred vendors (that I mostly stuck with) that all were great to work with! The day of the event Chris worked closely with my wedding party to make sure the day went to plan. My husband and I are so happy we chose The Whitewood Barn for our wedding! 🙂

I cannot say enough good things about our wedding experience at the Whitewood Barn. Right from the first time we toured the venue – Chris and Jeff were so warm and welcoming, and incredibly patient with all of our questions. I appreciated their open communication, and their guidance. Our wedding day was greeted with all day torrential downpour – but not a problem. Chris was so incredibly calm, and they had a fabulous “back up” plan to have us married in the barn rather than outside. I can’t imagine it could have gone any better – it was almost more beautiful in the barn as it was cozy and intimate. Our photos were taken primarily in Chris’ personal sun room – our photographer was delighted to have basically a studio to shoot in, and the photos are stunning. This venue is worth the investment – not only because it’s clean, gorgeous, and spacious – but because it also includes Chris and Jeff. Chris is essentially the best day of coordinator and runs the whole show – such a relief. I only have good things to say about the Whitewood Barn. We had our wedding there on Sept. 05, 2021 and it could not have been more perfect. The venue is absolutely gorgeous. Guests were commenting on it all night long, and people who see my pictures ask me about it. Chris and Jeff were also a huge help for this type A bride. I knew that if there was a problem or hiccup (and there were a couple), they would be able to step in and handle it. Chris really knows what she’s doing, and was just a pleasure to work with. On August 19, 2022 my husband and I got married at the Whitewood Barn. The Whitewood Barn was the first and only venue we looked at. We were immediately blown away by its character and charm (even when we booked in December of 2020)– you truly feel like you are in a Hallmark Movie and we knew that is was the place we wanted to get married.

Chis and Jeff are absolutely unbelievable to work with. Each time we went back to a visit, the property was updated in some amazing way. You can tell they put their whole heart and soul into their venue and it truly shows. Chris was there every step of the way, answering our questions or making very helpful suggestions when we were stuck. She made all our hopes and dreams come true and ensured she did everything she could to make our day absolutely magical.

We had our wedding at the Whitewood Barn a couple weeks ago, and we still cannot get over our day. We had numerous comments from people stating this was in fact the best wedding they had ever been to. The venue is stunning – cocktail hour is a breeze as there is something to do for everyone, including kids. We had less than 100 guests at cocktail hour and served 573 drinks.. that alone goes to show that people were loving their time.

Chris is on top of things – she knows what she’s doing. I felt a ton of comfort in her. I wouldn’t have done a single thing different (although I would remember to wear my veil next time around, lol).

We had our wedding at the Whitewood Barn August 2023. It was an amazing experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking at the venue for their big day. The grounds are gorgeous, and Chris the event coordinator/owner was very helpful with organizing all elements of the day. Socials Events (affiliated bartending vendor) was outstanding as well. Chris and Jeff were unbelievably amazing!!!!! This venue is so breathtaking. We got married here in October 2021 and it was the most magical day of our lives thanks to Chris, Jeff and their recommended vendors. Chris and Jeff worked so hard to make sure everything ran smoothly, everyone stayed on schedule and made sure everyone was having fun. Their food vendor, Kosmos Restaurant, had the most delicious food!!! They even created custom made appetizers from Venezuela (bride is Venezuelan) and added a delicious smoked brisket to the entres (groom loves smoked meat!). Their recommended bartender, Sean and his partner, made delicious custom made shots and fun drinks, they also went out of their way to make sure everyone had a smile on their face. Chris and Jeff made our day unbelievable and we 100% recommend their venue and their vendors!

I am a videographer and have shot a number of weddings here. It is an absolute gem. Best thing about shooting weddings here is that the bride, wedding party and guests are relaxed, the team at Whitewood looks after so much, the Wedding party can just focus on the day. We can’t thank them enough for all they do behind the scenes the day of, and for all of their help during the wedding planning process. I just had my wedding here July 7, 2023 and it was everything we dreamt of.
Firstly, Chris is one of the most wonderful people I have ever met. She is so kind and caring and makes you feel at ease, helping with every question and concern you have. With my high anxiety it was the absolute best choice to have our wedding here, I felt extremely relaxed. We also hired Stacy at First Blush to do our decorating and take down and she did an absolute BEAUTIFUL job. I would 100% recommend it. Also Sean at Socials events made incredible drinks and he was so kind and fun. We really appreciated them!!
Secondly, the venue is absolutely STUNNING. They have done such an incredible job, all of our guests were blown away. The morning of in the bridal suit felt like a dream to be in and then the beautiful flowers and greenery I was surrounded by made walking down the aisle feel like such a fairy tale. The whole wedding was a fairy tale for us, my only complaint is that it went by too fast!

The Whitewood Barn is every bride’s dream! A beautiful setting with lovely decor. Even the bathrooms and hallway were decorated so beautifully! We were there for my niece’s wedding reception and I was so impressed. I would definitely consider it as a venue for my daughter’s future wedding if we lived locally.

This is a STUNNING venue! As a wedding photographer there were so many beautiful areas to shoot in. It’s secluded, beautifully maintained and the entire team of staff were so accommodating. I hope to have the privilege of photographing there again soon!

Our wedding was on August 14, 2022, first of all, I never dreamed to have a wedding in a barn but the moment we saw the venue, I fell in love with the place. Where to begin! We had our wedding at The Whitewood Barn on July 01, 2023 and it is truly the most incredible venue.

Not only is the WWB beautiful, the owners, Chris and Jeff are amazing. From the beginning Chris was so informative, responsive and kind. They made us feel like family the day of and did everything to ensure our day was perfect. During our ceremony we had a hailstorm (a first for the Whitewood barn) and they all handled it flawlessly. From moving the ceremony to the patio, changing times, helping our guests and checking in on us constantly they did it all! Chris has an amazing team of vendors who all work together so well. The Whitewood Barn was incredible! They were great to work with and made everything about the day seamless. All of our guests said they had an incredible time. Stacey, with First Blush was amazing! The day would not have been the same without her. Sean and his team with Social Events are the best! They are such a good team, kept us well taken care of and hydrated throughout the night. My husband and I had our wedding at The Whitewood Barn September 9th and we couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. The moment we pulled into the driveway of the venue we both had dropped jaws and knew immediately this was our place to wed. Chris and Jeff are unbelievably kind and thoughtful, genuinely good people. Everything from start to finish was a breeze and Chris was extra accommodating with cultural decor and celebrations day of. Chris and Jeff have a way of making you feel like family and going above and beyond. Chris literally was on her hands and knees scrubbing dirt off my dress because I forgot Tide to Go! Overall, we had a fabulous time, our guests are still to this day talking about how beautiful the venue is. Worth every penny! A day we will never forget!

I own a DJ company in Edmonton called Market Sound Entertainment. Last weekend I finally had the pleasure to work an event out at The Whitewood Barn. Wow, what a stunning venue! Easily one of the most beautiful places to get married in or around Edmonton, but that’s not even the best of it. Chris runs the show over there and she is such a wonderful person, engaging, helpful, and on-the-ball. Clients are able to have their dance outside or inside. There’s a bar outside which is really cool and the staff was so engaging and fun! They were joking around with the guests, just the type of people you want at your wedding. So all that to say I don’t think you can do much better than getting married at this venue, it’s the full package, the look, the service, and wonderful people to boot! Very highly recommended!

Went here for my cousins wedding. Very nice well kept venue.

It had a very intimate ceremony area tucked away in the forest area. And onto the “white barn” area it was strung with lighting and made for some great photos. The covered bar area/dance floor was a very personal area, where you could easily access surrounding seating and the bar.

Finally they had a ton of seating areas that were for big and small groups. They also had games, cornhole (bean bag toss), ladder ball, horse shoes, fire pit area etc.

Leo and I had the most spectacular wedding at The Whitewood Barn. Our wedding had been postponed 2 times, and Chris was absolutely amazing throughout the entire process. Chris was there with us every step of the way. She made sure we had a timeline in place and made us extremely comfortable! She listened to our ideas and helped them come to life to give us our dream wedding. We are so lucky to have gotten married here!! Highly recommend!!

My husband and I got married out at Whitewood this past Friday- and it was better than I could have ever imagined! The Whitewood Barn is a stunning venue! But the owners – Chris and Jeff, are even more impressive. Due to COVID, we decided to postpone our wedding date. Chris and Jeff were very accommodating. Over our 2.5 year engagement, they were professional, organized, and always responded to our questions in a timely manner. On the day of, Chris sewed buttons onto guests jackets and sat with my grandma – she really did it all. They are so knowledgeable and made all our wedding dreams come true! We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day.

Cannot say enough good things! Chris and Jeff were absolutely amazing through the entire process. Planning a wedding through COVID was not fun, but Chris was there every step of the way to help plan/organize and minimize stress! Chris and Jeff genuinely care about their couples and making sure they have the most perfect day. The venue is breathtaking and all of the hard work and love that they have put into it really shows and is appreciated. Our day was flawless and it was all thanks to them! The only complaint I have is that we won’t be able to do it every year! Thank you ♥️

My husband and I got married at The Whitewood Barn in May 2022. It was already evident when we did our venue visit how much thought and care Chris has poured into the venue – it was incredible to experience it all the day of! Our guests enjoyed the many beautiful photo opportunities around the grounds. We felt really taken care of and we continue to receive compliments from our guests about the venue and how friendly, and fun the Whitewood Barn team is to this day!

We had our wedding at the Whitewood Barn on Friday, June 24, 2022 and it was the BEST decision ever. Not only was the venue absolutely gorgeous and exceeded our expectations in every way, Chris and Jeff (the venue owners) were also incredible from start to finish. I went to see the venue twice before booking and each time Chris welcomed us at the venue for as long as we wanted, answered all of our questions and talked us through how the day would look in great detail.

Leading up to the day, Chris was super responsive to emails and gave me recommendations on everything from vendors to timing of the day. All of her advice was super helpful and every single vendor that she recommended was awesome.

On our wedding day, Chris catered to us from the moment we showed up at the bridal suite. As an anxious person, I expected to be stressed all morning but Chris went out of her way to ensure I had all of my concerns answered and any lingering stresses were taken care of. At one point while we were having our hair and makeup done, Chris asked me if there was anything that was causing me anxiety. I told her two small things I was worried about and she told me she’d make sure they were taken care of. She even reported back to me to confirm when they were dealt with. P.S. The sun room that we were able to hang out in while getting ready is EVERYTHING. Such a beautiful, relaxing and comfortable space. Can I please live there?

Our ceremony time was scheduled for 3pm and at about 2:45pm, we found ourselves in a torrential downpour. Before I even had time to start to panic about missing out on the beautiful outdoor ceremony that I had envisioned, Chris came in and very confidently said: the ceremony will be pushed back a few minutes, the storm will blow over and it was still going to go ahead as planned. In the 15 minutes that followed, Chris and Jeff made sure our guests were taken care of and sheltered, monitored the weather apps and then dried off all of the seating when the rain cleared. Sure enough, the storm passed over, the sun peeked out and we had our outdoor ceremony complete with butterflies flying through the air, the smell of fresh rain and sunshine.

For dinner, we went with the in-house caterer, Kosmos Restaurant & Lounge. The food was fantastic and we had more than one person tell us that it was the best wedding dinner they’d had.

I truly can’t say enough about how great Chris and Jeff were and how magical our day was. It was everything I could have hoped for and more! So glad we can start off our marriage with the picture-perfect wedding that we had imagined. Needless to say, highly recommend!

She was on top of everything, she answered all my questions, and took away all of my worries at different points in the day. Absolutely gorgeous wedding venue!! Chris and Jeff were amazing to work with, and were so flexible and accommodating throughout all of our Covid related changes. Chris was so helpful with everything and always got back to me very quickly. We loved the stunning outdoor ceremony site and picturesque barn for the reception. The outdoor games for our guests to play were a huge hit. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how amazing the venue was! Loved having our wedding at the Whitewood!

I had my wedding at The Whitewood Barn in July and all I can say is that my wedding day was perfect. The venue is an absolute dream and worth every penny. The property is stunning, Chris and Jeff the owners of the barn put a lot of work into it and it really shows. They were such a huge help for the day as well, they always made sure we knew that this was our wedding and our day and it’s about us and what we want, what ever we asked for they made it happen without hesitation. We met with Chris again a couple weeks before our wedding and all the anxiety and stress I had about my wedding went away after meeting with her again because she was so organized and accommodating. On the day of my wedding Chris always asked if I needed anything and made sure everything was going smoothly. She is truly such a wonderful person to work with and I feel so fortunate that we chose the right place to have our wedding. I cannot explain to you how wonderful having out wedding at The Whitewood Barn was! We were a postponed couple with an original wedding in Utah so finding a new venue was proving to be very difficult. We ended up snagging one of Chris’ last openings for 2021 and I am forever grateful we did! Chris was beyond amazing to work with the entire process – always helpful, giving advice but letting us make our own decisions and very responsive to emails!

Chris was calm, organized and so helpful on the actual wedding day! She was an amazing host in the bridal suite and even sprinted through the rain across the property to give us an umbrella when we got stuck taking photos!
